Handmade by a skilled papermaker using 100% Japanese mitsumata. The seed flecks have been intentionally included in the sheets for a decorative effect. Mitsumata fibre is softer and more pliable than kozo, with a smooth, refined surface. It takes nearly twice as long to grow, compared to kozo, and is therefore considered to be a more luxurious fibre. Excellent for brush and pen drawing, relief printing, and lampmaking.
